German designer Mathias Hahn reversed the design process with the Marset Theia Floor Lamp, starting from the idea that what makes light truly special, is the presence of shadow.
The Marset Theia Floor Lamp takes its name from the Greek goddess Theia - mother of the Sun, the Moon and Dawn. Designer Mathia Hahn’s intention with this piece was to express the natural beauty of light; something which humanity has long been fascinated by. Designed as two half-spheres; one placed horizontally, the other vertically, which swivel around a central axis to alter the perception of the piece. The Theia’s innovative functionality enables it to be utilised for a range of uses such as a reading lamp or a stylish light source for a living room or hallway. Also available in a table lamp variant.
