First introduced by Finn Juhl and cabinetmaker Niels Vodder in 1949, the sofa was a one-off accompaniment to the impressive Chieftain Chair. The sofa remains part of Copenhagen's Designmuseum Danmark's permanent collection of modern Danish furniture and is a masterpiece of design. Defined by a grand, handcrafted Walnut frame, upholstered by hand in Denmark with luxurious leather, the Chieftain is a timeless embodiment of artistry and materials of the finest quality. With its comfortable low seat and sculptural, spacious frame, the sofa creates a beautiful, calming resting place, as well as acting as a striking centrepiece in a room.
