Formakami is an ultra light pendant lamp, designed by Jaime Hayon, and made of rice paper, echoing ancient lanterns from Asia but reinvented in a modern aesthetic.
Dating back centuries, paper lanterns have featured in Asia amongst the privileged and the poor, where different colours, shapes and sizes have different meanings. Hand crafted with rice paper merging shapes together. Part of the Formakami Collection.
