A contemporary design that retains the iconic tiered-shade system, the Snowball is a scaled-down reimagining of the classic PH Louvre, a grand luminaire conceived specifically for the Adventist Church in Skodsborg, Denmark, featuring eight shades mounted onto three legs. Evocative of both Louis Poulsen’s Scandinavian design principles, and designer Poul Henningsen’s drive for impeccable function, the PH Snowball is a timeless example of modern lighting design. Enabling light to be uniformly distributed around the fixture when illuminated, whilst providing contrast between the glossy upper and matt under surfaces, the PH Snowball is an iconic lighting fixture.
