Designed in 1946 by Ilmari and Annikki Tapiovaara, the Artek Domus Lounge Chair offers sleek Scandinavian styling and superior comfort.

With distinctive armrests, a seat and backrest made out of a single plywood element and upholstery in opulent black leather, the Domus Lounge Chair exceeds in comfort. Originally composed for the Domus Academia student housing complex in Helsinki, the chair's functionalist form has been designed to cater for people to sit for long periods of time in supportive, stylish comfort. Over time, the Domus Lounge Chair’s popularity has extended far beyond the location for which it was first intended, perfect for utilising in a residential lounge or study space.
